Cookie Policy – 42 Italy Last updated: August 2026 This Cookie Policy explains how the 42 Italy website (“the Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies under the EU GDPR and applicable Italian law. For the full privacy notice, see the Privacy page. 1. What cookies are Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They may be technical (necessary), analytics (statistics), or marketing/profiling (ads). 2. How we collect consent On first visit a banner appears. You can accept all, necessary only, or choose by category (Analytics / Marketing). Until you opt in to optional categories we do not load Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or write first-party visit logs for statistics. You can change or withdraw consent anytime via “Manage preferences” (or by clearing the “cookie_consent” cookie). Withdrawal does not affect processing based on consent before withdrawal. 3. Necessary cookies (always on) • cookie_consent – stores your consent choices (~12 months). • preferred_lang – stores site language (IT/EN). • technical session/security cookies of the framework. • admin session cookie (admin area only; not used for public visitors). These do not require consent because they are strictly necessary. 4. Analytics (only with “Analytics” consent) 4.1 Google Analytics (GA4) If configured (Measurement ID G-…), after consent we load Google Tag (gtag) to measure traffic. IP anonymization is enabled where possible. Google privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy Typical cookies: _ga, _ga_*. 4.2 First-party visit log (our server) With analytics consent we may store navigation events (page_view, CTA clicks) with page path, language, campaign params (utm_*, gclid, fbclid, etc.) and a pseudonymous session id. We do not store IP or User-Agent in this log. Without analytics consent these treatments do not run; tracking API requests are rejected. 5. Marketing (only with “Marketing” consent) 5.1 Google Ads / conversion pixel (AW-…) If configured, after marketing consent we load gtag for Ads conversions. Google privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy Typical cookies: _gcl_*. 5.2 Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram) If configured, after marketing consent we load Meta fbevents and track PageView. Meta privacy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ Typical cookies: _fbp, _fbc. Without marketing consent these scripts are not loaded. 6. Admin-only / unused on the public site • Ipinfo API token: admin diagnostics only; not installed for public visitors. • Google Maps API key: reserved for future use; not loaded for visitors until a public map is enabled. • SEO settings (title, description, google-site-verification): meta/SEO settings, not cookies and not used for profiling. 7. Extra-EU transfers Google and Meta may process data outside the EEA under applicable safeguards. See their privacy policies. 8. Retention • Consent preferences: about 12 months (banner may reappear after policy/version updates). • Third-party cookies: per Google/Meta policies. • First-party logs: only as long as needed for internal stats, subject to the Privacy notice. 9. Browser controls You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking technical cookies may break the Site. 10. Contact To exercise GDPR rights, use the contacts in the Privacy notice.
